China's MA60 firefighting aircraft has entered airworthiness compliance flight testing to verify its compliance with the airworthiness regulations of the Chinese civil aviation authorities.

The MA60 has already performed a number of flight tests including a water drop of six tonnes, it’s its maximum water capacity, an altitude of 50 meters. The flight tests have demonstrated that water dropped from the aircraft can cover a ground area of 6000 square meters.

MA60 firefighting aircraft is specially designed for aerial firefighting and is developed by AVIC XAC Commercial Aircraft Co Ltd in Xi'an, located in Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
