The Honolulu Fire Department Honolulu and Army helicopters have been battling a wildfire in the remote mountainous area in Central Oahu.
The fire was estimated to cover 60 acres and was fully by the end of the day after two fire department helicopters and two Army Blackhawk helicopters were involved in fighting the blaze. The nearest towns are Mililani and Wahiawa, which are about 20 miles north of Honolulu plus US Army installations Schofield Barracks and Wheeler Army Airfield are also in the vicinity.
